Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. About Brindle

Brindle is an automated invoice reminder platform operated by Chainsmith Industries Pty Ltd. The service helps businesses send payment reminder SMS messages and manage overdue invoice follow-ups.

Brindle is a reminder automation tool only and is not a debt collection agency, legal service, financial institution, or provider of legal or debt recovery advice.

2. Using the Service

By using Brindle, you agree to use the platform lawfully, responsibly, and only for legitimate business purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • invoice information entered into Brindle is accurate
  • reminder recipients are legitimate customers or authorised contacts
  • you have the right to contact those recipients
  • your use of Brindle complies with applicable laws and regulations

3. Automated Reminders

Brindle can send automated SMS and email reminders based on invoice due dates and reminder schedules configured within the platform.

Brindle may integrate with third-party accounting platforms such as Xero. Continued functionality depends on the availability of those services and your authorisation of the connection.

While Brindle aims to send reminders reliably and on time, delivery is dependent on third-party providers and mobile networks. We do not guarantee message delivery, timing, or payment outcomes.

Brindle may synchronise invoice and payment status information from connected accounting platforms. You remain responsible for verifying invoice accuracy, payment records, and customer information.

You remain solely responsible for managing customer relationships, payment disputes, and invoice accuracy.

4. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

Upon termination or deletion of an account, we may remove connected integrations, reminder schedules, and associated account data, subject to legal, accounting, security, or operational retention requirements.

5. Subscription and Billing

Some features of Brindle may require a paid subscription.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Pricing, SMS limits, and subscription inclusions may change over time. Any material pricing changes will be communicated before taking effect.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. Cancelling a subscription will stop future renewals, but access may continue until the end of the current billing period.

We may suspend reminder delivery or access to paid features where subscription fees remain unpaid.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use Brindle to:

  • send spam or misleading messages
  • harass, threaten, or abuse recipients
  • impersonate another person or business
  • send reminders for fraudulent or unlawful activity
  • attempt to disrupt or abuse the platform

We may impose reasonable usage limits, including limits on active invoices, reminder volumes, integrations, storage, or other platform resources.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or where continued access may harm the platform, other users, or third parties.

7. Availability

Brindle is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chainsmith Industries Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of Brindle.

This includes loss of revenue, unpaid invoices, business interruption, lost data, or missed reminder deliveries.

Brindle does not guarantee that any invoice will be paid, that reminders will result in payment, or that any particular collection outcome will be achieved.

9. Privacy

Your use of Brindle is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
